About myself

About myself and how I work with clients

I hold a BA Hons. degree and a PGCE, and have completed an MSc Dissertation in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.
I am a registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP 055441) and of the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA). I subscribe to the code of Ethics and Professional Practice of the BACP.

I completed four years of study and training in TA Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute, London in 2008.
I update my knowledge and continuing professional development by frequent participation at workshops and seminars on latest research. My academic interests are in aspects of attachment, neuroscience and the body in psychotherapy. However, the emphasis of my psychotherapeutic practice is on the relationship between my client/s and myself which we co-create, and on building mutual trust in working together. That is when therapy can begin and be effective, and gradually change will develop. At the outset, you and I agree a contract for your therapy and its approximate duration.

This symbol is the Greek letter "phy". It stands for natural growth towards health. It represents a basic principle of the method of Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a Humanistic psychotherapy believing in the equality of human beings and their basic “OK-ness”. It has evolved beyond its original founding father's (Eric Berne) ideas, and many practitioners, of whom I am one, today practise Relational Transactional Analysis.

I am a natural bilingual speaker of English and German, and I have a good knowledge of French.
